Care & maintenance

Built to be rebuilt, not replaced. Look after the Incisor and it returns the favour — dial the install, give it the odd once-over, rinse off the wet stuff.

Installation
Mounted, torqued, and on the right side.

Installation

Always install with the correct tools and torque values.
Use a suitable thread compound where recommended.
Left and right pedals go on the correct side — check the markings.
Tools you'll need
8 mm Allen keyTorque wrench

Preferred: torque the caphead to 2 Nm for precise, repeatable tightening.

Maintenance
Fully stripped on the bench. Every part is serviceable.

Maintenance

Periodically check axle tightness and pin security.
Inspect for play, cracks or damage after heavy riding or impacts.
Bearings and bushings are serviceable — maintain them as part of regular bike servicing.

2.5 mm Allen key
Cleaning
Soap, water, a proper dry. That's the lot.

Cleaning

Wash with mild soap and water only.
No high-pressure washers directly on bearings or seals.
Dry thoroughly after wet rides.
A note on warranty
Dropbear MTB products are designed for mountain biking use. Aggressive riding is expected — but misuse, extreme abuse, or use outside the intended application may void warranty coverage.
